Sense trustee’s brush with the ‘Super humans’
04 September 2012
Sense trustee, Roy Staines, had a close encounter with the Paralympic torch as it blazed a trail through London ahead of the Games.

Roy, who has Usher, was present at the Mayor of London’s Paralympics Host City reception at City Hall, along with a number of Paralympians and the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. During the reception, Roy was lucky enough to hold the Paralympic torch as it made a stop-off on its pre-Games relay.
Roy said: “It was an amazing and unexpected moment and I felt very privileged. I’ve been lucky enough to visit the Olympic park three times during the Paralympics to cheer on the incredible athletes.”
