Sense shops prepare for battle!
01 May 2013
Sense’s charity shops in Catford, Deptford, Walworth Road, Peckham, Hackney and Accrington are battling against each other on Friday 10 May, to raise money for deafblind children and adults.
'Battleshops' will see teams from Rendall & Rittner, an independent and innovative managing agent, taking over Sense shops across London and in Accrington and competing to make as much money as possible over the course of the day. The winner will be the team raising the highest uplift from the shop’s usual daily income.
There's a series of surprises in store to lure customers in: live music, raffles with meal prizes at local restaurants, tuckshops, nail bars, face-painting and much more. New stock will be available especially for the day: big brand names as well as charity shop classics, from antiques and bric-a-brac, clothes, accessories and jewellery, to books, music and DVDs.
Carolyn Gee, Sense Shop Manager said:
"Come down to a Sense shop on 10 May and we’ll give you a shopping experience to remember, not to mention a bargain. Our fundraisers are going out of their way to find stock to sell at knock-down prices, so shoppers in the area can look forward to bumper bargains!"
