Sense launches new forum for deafblind people in Bath
26 June 2013
To celebrate this year’s Deafblind Awareness Week (24-30 June) Sense, the national deafblind charity, launches a new forum for deafblind people in Bath on Wednesday 3 July.
The Bath Sense forum is for people who have been deaf and blind all their lives or for people who have lost their sight and hearing later in life. The forum aims to offer practical tips about technology, equipment and services, the chance to meet other people with similar experiences and exchange useful information and ideas, and the opportunity to make friends and have fun.
Timothy Griffiths from Sense’s Community Support team, said:
“The Sense forum in Bath will offer deafblind people the chance to meet up regularly in their local area. It’s open to any deafblind person who would like to join – perhaps sitting in on a meeting first to see if it is a group they would like to join.”
The first meeting takes place on Wednesday 3 July in Stall Street, Bath. If you would like to attend or volunteer for the Bath Sense forum, please contact Timothy Griffiths on 07757 050046 or email Timothy.Griffiths@sense.org.uk
