As a Sense fundraising volunteer

As part of our Fundraising team you can either yell at the top of your voice for us, get creative in your community or develop a quieter relationship with local businesses and organizations to support our work with deafblind people.
Whatever your skills, we can use them.
We always welcome volunteers at our fundraising runs and challenges. These epic and exhilarating events need supporting cheerleaders to urge our Sense participants around the course, as well as marshalls to assist our sporting heroes throughout the busy hustle and bustle of the day’s programme. Similarly Sense attends and organises festivals and events in the local community and are always looking for supporters to join us on the day.
A few hours to spare?
Whether you’re interested in gaining experience or offering your own special skills we have something for you. We have volunteers up and down the country that organise their own regular fundraising events, go out into the community to talk about Sense’s work, coordinate street collections and promote Sense events in their local community. With the right guidance and training could one of these be a role for you?

On a quieter note
Through building relationships with local retailers and businesses, our collection co-ordinators can place boxes in their premises. In line with Sense procedures, our volunteers also monitor and empty the boxes for us.
Rather Volunteer As Part of a Group?

If you would rather be a part of a team fundraising in a mixture of the ways above then why not join or set up a local fundraising supporter group? You can get more information here.
For other ideas, our Community Fundraising team are on hand with excellent tips, information and advice on how to go out there and raise cash on our behalf.
“I knew I had the skills, but it was great to develop them in a completely different context.”
