03 May 2013

Two chefsThe New York and Italian Restaurant and Bar, Frankie and Benny’s, will be teaming up with Sense on Tuesday 14 May to host a free lunch for customers at their Hampton restaurant, in Peterborough,  to raise awareness around Sense’s work in the community.

The event will take place between 11am and 3pm and looks set to be a fun afternoon of delicious food, exciting games and prizes with special guests including the Mayor of Peterborough and players from the Peterborough Lions Rugby Club making an appearance. Those attending will get a chance to find out more about Sense’s vital work and their latest fundraising campaign, Tastes Sensational, that sees supporters hosting a charity dinner party at home with friends and family to raise funds for deafblind people.

Sense Community Fundraiser, Ruth Kilcullen, said:

"We are really looking forward to the event which looks set to be a huge success in raising funds for Sense. We have a number of fun activities planned and are really grateful to our special guests for taking the time to join us and of course to Frankie and Benny’s for organizing the event. Please come along if you are interested in hearing more about our work with deafblind families or simply to show your support and have a great afternoon."

Entry is free to the site on Cygnet Park and customers can help themselves to a range of food from the buffet on offer in exchange for a donation to the charity. Invites are not needed although if you would like more information about the event please contact the Sense Fundraising Team on 01733 425070 or email community.team@sense.org.uk.
