Nicki Chapman

Nicki Chapman, Ambassador for the Friends of Sense StablesNicki Chapman is one of television’s most versatile presenters, bringing her own warmth and energy to the screen. Known for her honest and friendly approach, Nicki is delighted to be an Ambassador for the Friends of Sense Stables. Nicki has presented a wide range of programmes since she first appeared as a judge on Popstars and Pop Idol back in 2001. Nicki presents the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the BBC, is currently filming a new series of Escape to the Country and Wanted Down Under for BBC1 and can be heard regularly on BBC Radio 2.

Nicki is passionate about horses (although she claims she is only an ‘average’ rider), and as runner up in 2006’s BBC1’s Sport Relief show-jumping programme ‘Only Fools on Horses’, Nicki understands the powerful effect horses and ponies can have on people.

Nicki says: ‘It’s wonderful the work  Sense carry out with the deafblind community and I’m honoured to act as an Ambassador for the Friends of Sense Stables to raise awareness and let people know about the great work that’s happening at the Stables. I hope that my support can in some way help continue the work being done by the Stables to help deafblind people gain independence, learn new skills and changes their lives through being involved with horses for the first time’
