New partnership with Iron Mountain launches
08 September 2011
Iron Mountain is an information management company with 2,500 employees and 88 locations in the UK and offices around the world.
The partnership launched on 1 September 2011 and will be running until December 2012. The target for year one is £100,000, with activities planned across their sites including office, warehouse and driving employees.
To mark the launch of the partnership, a range of employees across different sites led by their Community Champions team took part in the fourth annual Dragon Boat Race at the Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre and raised an incredible £2,500 as a team!
Iron Mountain employees will be involved in a variety of fundraising events and volunteering throughout the year until the end of December 2012, including participation in the Sense in the City Quiz in November, a European five-aside football tournament next summer and a unique fundraiser to mark their 60th Anniversary.
"We would like to thank Iron Mountain employees for getting behind our partnership and look forward to working together to raise funds to ensure that everyone challenged by deafblindness or sensory impairment, has access to the advice, opportunities and support they need."
Claire Wood Hill, Director of Fundraising"We are very excited and proud to be working with Sense to close the information divide for deafblind people and their families. The relationship is already making a difference to our teams and I believe it will be very successful in the future. A selection of our charity partners took part in the Dragon Boat Race, which was a great way to kick off us working together. The Smurfs did us proud by winning the event and leading the way for the rest of our team."
