Last year's fun
Seventeen teams from a range of our corporate partners participated in our 2012 Dragon Boat Race. All teams took part in a series of heats with the fastest four going through to the final. With race times often very close, the Sackers team completed the challenge as winners, with a time of 1 hour, 18 minutes and 79 seconds.
Other companies who took part included KPMG, Rendall & Rittner, Ernst & Young, Heidrick & Struggles and Lantmannen.
Corporate teams' members commented on how much they had enjoyed the camaraderie of the race, its competitive element and the chance to socialise with colleagues at the barbeque and bar after the event.
"The Sackers crew were absolutely delighted to take part in this event for Sense. Great fun and we were, of course, really over the moon (and stunned!) to have taken the trophy against stiff competition from another 17 teams. A fantastic effort from everyone involved to have raised over £27,000 on the night. See you next year."
