Direct Support (support package)

We know that there are times when you may need additional contact with us to help you to support your deafblind child. Some problem situations are easy to spot, while others are more difficult to plan for.

A child's head cradled in an adult's handFor example, you may experience difficulties as a result of:

  • Particular issues – such as a child’s intervenor leaves and there are questions regarding their replacement
  • Long-standing issues – such as family dynamics
  • Predictable issues – such as transition

We are here to help.

Who we work with

We work with children who have difficulties with vision and hearing, or who have complex disabilities which are likely to result in hearing or vision problems.

As no two families are the same, the support we offer will be based on your family’s needs. There will also be points during the package when we will ask you to reflect on whether we have made a difference, and what else might be helpful to you.
