David Rowntree is the drummer with Blur, one of the most successful bands to come out of the UK in recent years.

He is a much-valued supporter of the annual Sense Drumathon, which helps deafblind children to enjoy and participate in music.

David stood for Parliament in 2008 and is training to be a solicitor. Politically active, he has generously supported Sense’s campaign to protect adult social care.
