Andrew Marr
Sense was honoured when the BBC's top political presenter, Andrew Marr helped to launch a vital fundraising appeal which enables deafblind children to enjoy essential, fully supported holidays. It also gives their parents much needed respite.
Andrew has personal experience with deafblindness - his father-in-law, the late Lord Ashley who was deaf, was instrumental in getting the Deafblind Bill passed through Parliament.
Andrew is best known for presenting The Andrew Marr Show on BBC One and Start the Week on BBC Radio 4, but is currently recovering after suffering a major stroke - you can read more about what happened on the BBC website. We wish Andrew the very best in his recovery and look forward to seeing him back on television soon.
