About William
19-year-old William has Angelman Syndrome, which means he is multi-sensory impaired.
How Sense supports William
Sense has worked with William and his family over many years, and has helped him find his passion for painting and art.
"William loves to feel the vibrations of the canvas when he pushes against it. It's so exciting for William to be involved in the exhibition and shows what people with multi-sensory impairments can achieve." Louisa, William's mum.
Barbara, a Children & Family Support Officer at Sense also helped William find a place at a residential college. It was a long process to find just the right place for William to continue his education. But with Sense’s help, William and his family have been supported as he grows up.
£170 could pay for a Children & Family Support Officer to visit another family who need help so their deafblind child can attend the right school or college in their area.
